Jason Collins Re-Signs With Atlanta Hawks

Under Mike Woodson last season, center Jason Collins saw little playing time with the Atlanta Hawks. But with Woodson gone, and new coach Larry Drew in, Collins decided to re-sign with the team. Collins only played 24 games last season, tallying a combined 16 points and 14 rebounds for the season while averaging 4.7 minutes per game.

Jason Collins, who saw little action at the end of Atlanta’s bench under Mike Woodson last season, is returning as a backup center for the Hawks under new coach Larry Drew. The Hawks re-signed Collins on Thursday. Collins appeared in only 24 games last season, scoring 16 points and grabbing 14 rebounds while averaging only 4.7 minutes.
